Introducing the Somerville Watch Co. "Back Bay" Dive Watch, designed for the modern man who values both style and rugged functionality.
This watch was designed from the ground up by the team here at SWC, and we are proud to finally bring it to our customers for the 2025 holiday season.
Named for the beautiful Back Bay neighborhood in Somerville's neighboring town, Boston, MA (maybe you've heard of it?), this watch features a stunning enamel dial with (in our opinion) perfectly proportioned dial text and graphics.

- Case Material: Polished 904L stainless-steel, Submariner inspired case with screw-down crown.
- Bracelet: Oyster bracelet with secure-fit, double-locking clasp and glide-lock functionality.
- Dial: Premium, glossy enamel dial "Back Bay" dial with highly-luminescent, hand-applied indices.
- Water resistance: 100m/330ft of water resistance. Individually tested to a minimum of 6 bars during our QC process.
- Scratch-resistant Sapphire Crystal

Ordered the Presidential bracelet as an alternative to the Oyster bracelet I already have. It’s a very different look and is very comfortable . Looks great. I would recommend this if you want to change the look of your watch.
Another great build from Haram and the team at Somerville Watch! I love this ROOTBEER! Can't begin to tell you all the compliments I have gotten on this watch! It's a bit different than your normal one! I got it in Rose Gold and had them take out the Black Face Dial and had them put a Sunburst Brown Face Dial in! Love the look, the comfort on my wrist and boy does this thing shine when out in the light! The bro2n face looks great against the Rose Gold. Each watch I buy just gets better and better! Thanks again Somerville Watch Co.! Already trying to figure out what the next build will be!
The pictures speak for themselves. This is a stunning, eye catching piece that polishes up nice and fits comfortably. The fit and finish is what you’d expect from this price point and overall is satisfactory. The crown threads are a little stiff, bracelet and clasp were a little sharp but not a show stopper. NH34 movement is accurate and sapphire crystal is a nice touch. Shipping was fast and watch came with lots of protective wrapping in box.
Pro tip: All screw pins will need locktite 222 applied after adjusting or these will back themselves out and could separate your band inadvertently. Even if on those you are not removing, unscrew all, apply locktite and screw back in.
My only 2 gripes are - lume is very weak - almost non-existent and price could be about $20 - $40 less as there are many shops offering this same piece for less.
Overall very satisfied with watch and company.
The watch arrived lightning fast and is high quality. It has a nice heft to it, and the gears are smooth. The build quality is excellent, and I was impressed by how it turned out. I can't wait to order a different model!
I love this watch what can I say! Quality is perfect! Not only looks great, on my wrist but runs great as well! I was hesitant at first because I usually wear a bigger size watch but this 40mm fits and looks perfect on my wrist! Thanks to everyone at Somerville for a great watch! Beautiful piece, the pvd plating is gorgeous and the sunburst green dial is the perfect contrast to the gold on the rest of the watch, this watch gets many compliments when I wear it. I already ordered a seikoak from Somerville and plan on many more to come
